Minivans/buses

They leave from stands and travel agencies all over town, most within 1 block of Ratchadamnoen Rd., near downtown. Minivans to Krabi (3hr.; 8am - 4:00pm; 180฿) and Phuket (5hr., 8am-4pm, 270฿) leave from the parking lot right in front of city hall. Minivans to Ko Samui (1½hr., 7:30am-1pm, 229฿ including ferry fare) leave from north of the intersection of Ratchadamnoen and Ratnikom Rd. near the Thai Airlines office.; to Surat Thani (1½hr., 6am-5:30pm, 165฿) leave from near the intersection of Yommarat and Chumphol Rd. Minivans to Trang (2hr., 7am-5pm, 150฿) leave from Bo-Ang Rd. 50m west of its intersection with Phattanakarn-Khukhwang Rd.

Quite simple ..... I never travel on mini-vans so know pretty much zilch about them ...... I just saw that somewhere and thought it would be a good idea to pass on the info.
