What is it with the sudden rise in International Schools?

Post by Admin on Mon Apr 19, 2010 8:01 am

Has anyone noticed how many new 'International' schools there are in the area?

Nakhon International City School / Oonrak International Bilingual School (Surat) / Bluewater International School (Surat) / British International School (Phuket) / The International School of Hatyai & International English.

Surely all of these schools cannot be International Schools opening this year (with the exception is BIS). What say you?

There is a lot of money in having an international school around... especially for the owner/s...
The schools are all international schools in their names, not just BIS, but not sure they will qualify with a percentage of international students... It all comes down to the money...

Yes ..... but, you can't just open an 'International' school. There are a whole host oh hoops to jump through and one of the main ones is the amount of time it takes to get accredited from the Ministry of Education.

How about this new school? The International School of B.S.

JUST RECENTLY OPENED IN A TOWN NEAR YOU.
