Students drinking alcohol ...

I have just been given photographic evidence of some students drinking alcohol during a school trip. I have nothing really to say about it, they weren't intoxicated as far as I can see and they are on the whole good students too.

What are your feelings towards students drinking?

btw: We're talking here 17 yr olds.

I drank alcohol in grades 10, 11 and 12 and I know many started earlier than that. For that reason, I cannot get all high and mighty and tell kids, 'Drinkin's bad...mmmkay?'

A few years back, one teacher I know sat down and had a few beers with a M5 student. Nothing wrong with that, besides the fact we were on a camp... 

I think that it's ok for them to drink some, as long as they are not drunk... I was on the bus and I do have to say that they were a good bunch of kids... (I did not know about the drinking before we got to BKK)... I am more concerned about the drugs that they are taking!
