Teachers Licence

Post by Danny on Mon Dec 14, 2009 9:55 pm

I'm looking for information relating to TL's. I've been teaching in Thailand for seven years and it looks as if I will be out of a job/visa come next April if I don't get a licence or "start" a BA Ed degree......by that date (300,000 baht or advice anyone).

I have a BTEC HND Business Studies, Grad IPM, CELTA (Swanage, UK) etc, plus my experience, but it looks as if it will all count for nothing!!! I live here with a Thai wife, child, house etc and it's all looking pretty dodgy.

Are there any other people in a similar situation? Qualified and dedicated....but not qualified enough!

How many teachers will there be in Nakhon next May (let alone Thailand) if these rules are enforced? Hopefully something will happen between then and now, but at pressent I'm very worried about the future.

Is there anyone else out there without a BA Ed or even a BA..........?

Danny

this is thailand, rules are here to be broken... All you have to have is a certificate that you have tried to improve yourself- this moth for free at kanlayanee:-) ask your boss. That will get you application renewed. Pm me for more details...
