Buses to KL
Anybody know about buses/trains from Hat Yai to KL? How much do they cost? How often do they leave? How long do they take? Any tips that people might have would be appreciated.

I seem to remember that last time I was in Hatyai seeing a sign for those buses/coaches. I think it was B990. As for how long the journey is .... well can't be sure and I have done that trip quite a few times too.
I think ...
Hatyai - Sadoa: 1hr
1/2 hour thru customs etc
Sadoa - Ipoh (stop for lunch): 4hrs
45 min lunch
Ipoh - KL: 4hrs
Total = around 10hrs
As an aside, I am doing that trip again on the 23rd, taking some kids down to Singapore.

I did the trip last year and it was 400 baht and took about 10 hrs, Hat Yai to KL. It was a nice bus, too. There's also one called a Snoozer for 480 or so that had slightly nicer seats and a TV screen on each seat.
