Pickup Trucks

Post by Admin on Sat Jun 20, 2009 4:22 pm

In this neck of the woods there are countless pickups on the road. Me, personally it's Toyotas all the way but then there are yhose who will disagree.

Which pickup do you think is the best, and give your reasons too.

Having tried them I think the Ford/Mazda drive the best. As that is my first priority I would go for one of them. Also like the fact that they feel a little smaller than the others.

Have heard they are pretty pokey. Still I'm a Toyata fan in Thailand and Toyatas it has to be ...... hold their value way more than everything else with the exception of maybe Isuzu.

After fiddling with new cars for the last few years I would say this...

New Pick Ups... Toyota or Izusu... Maybe a Mitsu... Lose less money///

Second hand, 1 year old Mazda, Ford, Nissan, Mitsubishi... So cheap it is fun!

Looking at old 15+ year old Toyota Hilux, Nissans and Mitsubishi for that. You might be lucky but be careful. Most of them have been run into the ground and you could easily spend another 60,000 just to get them into reasonable running order. Also make sure the chassis is straight, many of them have been crashed and drive down the road like crabs! You probably have a better chance of getting a decent old car for that money.

Depending on how long time you will stay here, buy a newer truck... Use that money as down payment and then pay a little bit every month...

You can get some really good fairly new mazda's and ford's for that money...

No need to buy brand new but look at 2006-2008 on the website www.one2car.com Click on the right side curtains to find the cars you look for...
