Was it something I said?
I had the strangest experience the other night at Tesco when trying on some jeans.
Learning never to trust the Thai sizes on clothes, I took a pair of jeans into one of the 2 little walk-in wardrobe boxes they have set up.
It was a bit busy in the clothes section, and I heard someone trying to open the door, so in my best Thai I thought it best to say hey, there is someone already in here.
So, in a clear voice I shouted "เฮ้ ไม่มีกระดาษชำระที่นี่"
I don't know if they misheard what I had said or were just intrigued by this strange accent they heard calling out to them, but there was quite a crowd gathered outside when I emerged and they were giving me some right weird looks.
Won't be buying clothes there again for a while thats for sure.
