EP Open House 2010

Post by Admin on Sun Jul 11, 2010 5:41 pm

Just want to wish all participating schools the best of luck in this year's competition. :nerd:For all Mattayom results, as they happen (or as soon as we're informed), check out: www.openhouse2010.knepprogram.com
Phratom results are unfortunately a different department so we cannot give you those results.

Welcome to the EP Open House Result List
Brought to you by
Kanlayaneesithammarat English Programme

you've changed your schools spelling of Programme I see Admin.

Well, I don't know which school it was (they were on just before Kanlayanee today), but, just as yesterdays students singing "Money Money Money" at the end of their skit, the girl singing Alicia Keys "If I aint got you" stole the show in my book.
She may not have looked the part, but her voice was amazing and they put on a nice dance routine to go with it.
They were the ONLY band that listened to each other and played in tune and at a sensible volume level.
If they did not win then something went wrong somewhere.

The volume level went off the scale for a lot of the bands........ sadly, with it went all of the tuning.
Admin, the KORG keyboard your student was playing sounded out of tune to the other instruments, yet the roland keyboard he was playing sounded ok...... weird. Maybe it needs checking out.

Some very talented musicians on the stage today though.

I have to be impressed with Bejamas run for the gold in every event they participated inn..
At the end of the day we might have more gold medals, but I think the Benjama students did really well... Also for competing in events that they don't even teach!!! Amazing... Good Thai teachers...Well done...
Best school this year... Ammartpanichnukul... Coming from nowhere and just flexing power the way they did... Impressive...
Next year we will be back (SONGKHLA)!!!

Ammartpanichnukul, so is that the same school I'm talking about with the great singer?
They came first on the mini concert so I would hope it was them.
Really was an unbelievable singing voice on that girl, and good clear English too.
Very talented. It was quite the Susan Boyle thing. She came on stage and did not look anything special, then she started singing and people listened and took notice.

No idea why the columns are different widths!

Answer: Because you have set the width property in your table html code (check the td tags and you'll see "width=...")

Code:

<table border=1 width="100%">
  <tr>
    <td align="left" width=282>
      <font color="#000080"><strong>School Name</strong></font>
    </td>
    <td align="left">
      <font color="#000080"><strong>Gold Medal</strong></font>
    </td>
    <td align="left">
      <font color="#000080"><strong>Silver Medal</strong></font>
    </td>
    <td align="left" width=189>
      <font color="#000080"><strong>Bronze Medal</strong></font>
    </td>
    <td align="left" width=206>
      <font color="#000080"><strong>Highly Recommended</strong></font>
    </td>
  </tr>
  <tr>
    <td align="left" width=282>
      <font face="Arial Rounded MT Bold">
        <font color="#660066"> Ammartpanichnukul</font>
      </font>
    </td>
    <td align="left" align=middle>
      <font face="Arial Rounded MT Bold">13</font>
    </td>

should not need to have a width for each td tag on every row (nor the duplicate font tags for face and color....... this is why i dont use editors like frontpage and dreamweaver, they dont always generate good code

Not our fault that we have a larger span than you guys... Think of the olympic games, all the events are totaled, even if some countries are not joining most of them!!!
Yes, you guys did brilliantly, for only joining 12 events... Good work Gold member!!!We still got more medals than you!!!

Yes, and don't forget, thats what its all about, just getting them gold medals, screw the rest of the less able students, we must have them gold medals....... these competitions sicken me every year.

I did notice Admin does have quite a large span these days.

Are there foreign teachers working at all the schools listed in that table?

And I guess more to the point, approximately how many foreign teachers are there currently working in NST (Amphur Muang)?

I would say that we have about 100 foreigners working in town now... More if you go out in the districts...
Yes, there are foreigners working in all the schools on the table... Some of them are looking for more teachers as well, are  you looking for a job???

Answer: Because you have set the width property in your table html code (check the td tags and you'll see "width=...")

Also, the width values should be in quotes AND have a unit (percent, pt, px) etc
All them dupliacate width values on every row in the table are redundant and increase the size of the html page, making it slower to load and render.
Better still, they should be in a style sheet.

Use ConText or Notepad to make the html Admin.

Yes, so you should ALL then know that Pratom is even harder than Matayom.

We got 26 Gold and 14 Silver....... and not a sign of cheating going on anywhere.
