Now it's $82 to for add'l visa pages to a US Passport!!!

Lots of increased passport fees coming into effect for Americans on the 13th.

*A passport renewal just went up from $75 to $110. Of course an increase was expected, but a 50% increase???

*THE WORST is a new $82 fee to add additional passport visa pages. Last year I got it done at the Embassy last year for free!

WTF? All they did was glue about 30 extra pages to your passport. Sure, I can understand a fee - $25 is reasonable. Eighty two bucks is way too much.

Maybe it's because of the pictures of American stuff on these pages (eagles, Mt. Rushmore, etc.) and maybe they paid a graphic designer a couple of million to do it.

I'm not a happy camper.

The British passport is now:

32-page - £128.00 (6,400 THB) $197
48-page - £154.50 (7,725 THB) $238+
Children - £81.50 (4,075 THB) $126

We cannot get extra pages ..... once your little book is full you have to get a new one (I have half a page left in my book). And, before they processed your passport in Bangkok - it now goes to the new 'streamlined' regional centre in Hong Kong!
