Boring TV Nights

Post by Snowflake on Sun Feb 07, 2010 10:51 pm

What do you when it is 1900 and you have no more work to do? The prep work for school is done, dinner is made, dishes are done, clothes ironed, and then you find yourself sitting down infront of the telly for a relaxing evening, just to discover that today is the day were they show all the bad movies (very subjective there) and the most interesting thing to see is an old man drawing the groups for the Euro 2012 competition (30 min)... What do you do after that? I don't want to go out, so please, any suggestions?

Did you mean Hubby or Hobby? (I am into girls)...
Seriously, why not come with some constructive ideas instead of the one line answer where you try to make you sound superior to other people... I am sure that I am not the only one in town that does not wish to spend every evening at my friends house getting drunk, just to go out during the weekend to have a new place to get drunk!
I am asking, come with some suggestions or stay off! Not very hard to do is it? You request that we take your posts serious and that we try to do what you want, why not try to have the same respect for other peoples posts?

this is not a serious post.. i for one do not know what you like or what are your intrests.. so i made a comment .. get a hobby... but since you like picking at anything i write on this forum .. i have decided to give you an idea of a hobby.... since you are acting like a grumpy old person .. never happy.. why not take up knitting and buy a rocking chair..
what i suggested was a good idea .. get a hobby .. why do i have to find a hobby you may like! ..

now lay off, with your your constunt picking... or is this your hobby .. pissing off people ?? if that is the case .... you have found your hobby.. enjoy the forum on your own..

Take up walking for a hobby! You were talking about walking to Phuket, that would take up plenty of your time.
Cheers

If I have really run out of things to do, I would usually: read a book, draw a picture, play some music, watch a movie, call a friend, chat to someone on the internet, download something, read about something you haven't ever looked into, cook some food, the list goes on. You can't be that bored can you?

Finally a man who can come up with a few good suggestions...
Anyone fancy trying to get a book swapping session started? I am sure that there are plenty of you out there with several books you have read... (I know Sean has a large library since we all donated books to his last effort)... What about opening that up Sean? What about letting people come and borrow the books we all agreed should be together??? Time to find them again!!!!
Calling a friend??? Well, that would be nice, if they ever bothered to pick up the phone!I am on the net all day long, don't feel the need to be in front of the monitor at night too, but again, good suggestion.

Does anyone fancy starting up a little MMA club? Twice a week? Kicking, punching, wrestling? Cold be fun!!!

You guys ever hear this one:

Whenever you feel inclined to to whinge about being "bored", change the word to "boring".

"I am so boring" gives the whole situation a bit of a different spin...

I am boring, but I am willing to try to do different things...

So, instead of attacking me... Grow up and suggest something...

Are you talking to me, Snowflake?

I'm not being negative... and if I was, shouldn't my post get deleted?

FLAME ON!!!

Seriously though, all I was saying is that by changing the word "bored" to "boring", it forces us to take responsibility for our experience and thus find something fun to do, watch, hump or otherwise.

Good suggestions for any hobby I might have???
Has anyone tried any Thai boxing? How much, where, fun or not?

I have tried, but you have to be Thai!!! I tried to be allowed to join one night, still NO!
I get to know all the local gun fights anyways, scandals and knife fights... If I want to!!
I will not tell everyone on the forum about what is happening behind the curtains in this city, too many people would be scared!

I am trying to find something fun, useful to do... My Thai is far from good enough to help with medical stuff... Besides, after spending way too many years in hospital when I was younger I would like to not spend more time there... I guarantee I have spent more time in a hospital than 95% of all foreigners here in Town... Constructive and good Gold member, but I cant do that...
HuaNgu, last time I checked there were someone wanting to fight you... not me!.. guess it is better to hate people than people hating you!
