Was talking with a member of this 'ere' forum last night and he was saying he and his family are stuck in the UK unable to get back out here. On the BBC News they are saying that the air space of several European countries has been closed to all commercial air traffic. These countries include Ireland, UK, Sweden, Holland, Denmark and Belgium.

Good luck to any who are travelling to or from that region in the next few days.

Here is a good link on the situation: HERE

It looks like I will shortly be buying a ticket NST to Manchester, England. Now, I know some of you are from up that neck of the woods and have flown this route. Are there direct flights or do you have to stop-over/change somewhere en-route? Any quality airline will do (Not Aeroflot or Air India pls). What sort of price are you looking at eco/biz?

Cheers

If you had a choice of living anywhere in the world and money was no problem, where would you like to live?

For me, I'm not really sure. I like it here but get bored with the place more and more often. I always think about South Africa, been there many times and am always in awe at the varying geographical differences around every corner. Canada is another place I think of. Never been there, mother and other family live there and from what I have heard, it is supposed to be really nice. ...

For me in this neck of the woods, there is only one airline that I reaaly like and that is Singapore Airlines. Their aircraft are top notch with full interactive entertainment, staff are superb and Changi Airport is still in the top 5 airports as it has been for years. Nok Air is also quite acceptable but that is only because of the little yellow uniforms the trolley dollies wear.
